Hi reader,

You’ve probably noticed by now that your Google results look a bit different than they used to. Google's now using AI overviews that summarize topics right on the search results page. This means you're seeing more direct answers and fewer links to individual websites.

So, the most important question is, what does this mean for you and your business? That’s what I want to get into today.

Today’s advice to grow your business

To stand out in AI search results, focus on creating content that offers your specific expertise to your ideal customer.

The whole idea of Google’s AI is to provide users with the most relevant and helpful information. So, you need to focus on creating content that actually helps your target audience. When do this, you can get featured in the AI overview that gets shown to users.

Think this sounds too good to be true? Just take a look at this example. If you Google a question about small business owners and domain registration, the AI Overview features Vervology’s blog post as a result.

And all we did was write about a topic that we knew well to help answer common questions our audience is asking. We focused on providing real value, and Google's AI recognized that. You can do the same.

Here’s how this will benefit you

You’ll get noticed by more people.

When your content appears in AI overviews, your company gets in front of a wider audience. It’s basically free advertising on the world's biggest search engine. Even if people don't click through to your website right away, they'll still see your name and start to recognize your brand.

You'll be seen as a go-to expert in your industry.

People trust Google results, for good or for bad. Getting featured in the results instantly positions you as a knowledgeable and reliable source. This builds credibility with your audience, making people more likely to trust your advice, your products, and your brand.

Your first step

Brainstorm new content ideas that answer your audience's questions.

Take some time to think about what your ideal customer is searching for online. What questions do they have? What problems do they need help solving? Jot down a few ideas for blog posts, videos, or articles that address those needs.

This way, you'll be more likely to show up in those AI search results, and people will start to see you as the expert you are.

Now go out there and make it happen. As always, I'm here to help if you need it.

Best,

Jono
