Hi reader,

We're back for another week of simple, no-B.S. advice to help you grow your business.

I know it's a holiday week, but for many of us, there's no such thing as a day off. So today, I'm going to give you one small, easy step you can take to improve your website and attract more leads.

Today’s must-read advice

The hero section is the most important part of your website – give it the attention it deserves.

It takes just 50 milliseconds for people to make a first impression of your website– that’s faster than the blink of an eye. The hero section (that section at the very top of your homepage) is the first thing visitors see, so it needs to it needs to instantly make an impact.

To do this, your hero section should clearly and quickly answer these questions:

  • What do you offer?

  • How will it benefit your customers?

  • Why should they choose you?

Here are a few different examples of what this looks like:

Here’s how this will benefit you

1- It will fill your sales pipeline with qualified leads.

A strong hero section helps people quickly understand what you offer and how it can solve their problems. This attracts the people who are most likely to be interested in your products or services – the ones who are actively looking for solutions like yours. Instead of chasing down leads, you'll have people coming to you who are already interested in what you offer.

2- It will turn website visitors into paying customers.

When a visitor immediately understands what you offer and why it matters to them, they're way more likely to stay on your website. This means that they’re also more likely to take action and become a paying customer. Eventually, this leads to more sales, more clients, and more money in your pocket.

Your next step

Take a look at your hero section and choose one specific thing you can improve.

Is it extremely clear what you offer, how it benefits your customers, and why they should choose you? If not, start there. Even one small tweak can make a difference.

Give it a shot and let me know how it goes – I'm here to help if you have any questions.

Best,

Jono
